Description

Service is for a complete rebuild for all major mono-block and two-piece OEM calipers from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc. motorcycles as well as select Brembo race calipers such as the M4, GP4-RR (shown in picture), P4 32/36, etc.
THIS OPTION IS FOR 1 OEM BRAKE CALIPER ONLY + YOU SUPPLY THE SEALS IF YOU DESIRE TO REPLACE SEALS
Overview
1. Clean caliper and caliper pistons with Simple Green HD detergent and soft bristle toothbrush.
2. Carefully disassemble caliper and remove pistons. I do
not
use piston pliers or uncontrolled air pressure that may mar the pistons or calipers in any manner.
3. Remove caliper seals with non-marring nylon tools.
4. Clean brake caliper seal groove with brake cleaner and soft bristle toothbrush.
Ultrasonic cleaning for non-nickel calipers only.
Care is taken to protect painted lettering, if present.
5. Dry all components with compressed air.

If applicable
, replace dust and fluid seals. Be careful with aftermarket seals because they may be inferior to OEM seals.
7. Apply a thin uniform layer of specialty seal grease and reinstall pistons.
8.
If applicable
, clean and polish brake pad pins. Bleed nipple caps are replaced as needed (i.e. if rubber is damaged).
If supplying your own seals, most calipers have different piston sizes and you must have the correct number and size of seals. Unless a caliper is sticking or leaking, I find that seal cleaning is sufficient to restore normal function, but I leave the choice up to you.
