The problem:
Perhaps you have noticed that your temperature and time/ gear selector displays on E & G class vehicles ( or temperature and time, gear selection and odometer displays on C class vehicles ) are no longer properly displaying information on the LCD displays. Characters are partially unlit or unrecognizable.
Repairing this problem usually involves a complete replacement of the instrument cluster which can cost as much as 0 in parts plus additional charges or up to 0 at dealerships to reprogram the vehicle mileage, accessory configuration, transfer and repair history and provide removal and installation service.
The solution:
The repairs offered here are not quick fixes. We have invested considerable time understanding this failure and have custom built the necessary disassembly tools and bonding fixtures to perform a quality repair that will withstand the test of time, temperature and humidity.
We replace defective flex circuits with our own gold contact copper / polyimide designs with metallurgically matched conductive film and high strength epoxy bonding agents to electrically and mechanically interconnect the LCD displays to the circuit boards. Our bonding equipment is computer controlled with a fixed heating and cooling profile that will not shock the PCB board which can introduce internal delamination or scorch flex material.
The cost:

The procedure:
If you can side line your vehicle while repairs are being accomplished all you have to do is remove the instrument cluster and send it to our shop. You can have this done for you or we can provide detailed instructions that will enable you to remove the instrument cluster by yourself or pass on to a mechanic of your choice.
A tool is required that we can ship to you when you sign up and prepay for repair service. Alternatively you can have a local mechanic remove the cluster  for you. It literally takes about 30 seconds to remove the instrument cluster from the vehicle and unplug two connectors.
For those of you that need your car every day we can provide a temporary loaner cluster that can be swapped out for your original unit. The temporary unit will show very high mileage and it will not contain your accessory configuration or your vehicle repair history. It would be necessary to return the loaner instrument cluster when your repaired original unit arrives or you will be charged full price for the loaner unit.

Our repair provides you with an instrument cluster that will be a pleasure to view with all needles correctly aligned and the displays fully tested at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.
