This unit was installed in my car for years and worked very well. Over the last few months it was on and off often giving me a “check receiver wiring” message and not working while displaying the message. My installers guess was that one of the wires came loose or got corroded over time.
This is by far the best detector I’ve ever had, includes radar detection, laser detection+jamming (shifting), speed camera/red light camera alerts, false alert filtering and more. Update the unit before install for the latest software and map data. It has a port to plug in and update.
